VIP FAQ and added info:

Q: Why not just use ice skates or hockey skates?

A: Hockey and ice skates will also work really well with a hand held wing on ice.
The Ski Boot blades add a much higher level of stability at speed.
Most skaters will get skate wobble when going faster.  These will NOT wobble.

Q: Why are these more stable with no wobble?

A: Several reasons.
1) The blades are longer (24″ long)
2) The blades have a lot longer flat section instead of a continuous rocker seen on Ice and Hockey Skates.
3) Ski boots really help with lateral stability.  Once you edge these, the forces generated are easier to handle with ski boots.

Q: Do you have to use ski boots?

A: Yes.
Due to how TALL the skates are and with how fast you might go, ski boots add the proper stability and stiffness.

Q: Are they difficult to learn?

A: If you already know how to skate, these will feel natural for the most part.
If you have no skating experience, these might be challenging.
We are offering a shorter version that is an inch shorter.

Q: Are there any drawbacks or concerns?

A: YES
1) You CANNOT stop (hockey stops) with these.  The bottom edge is dead flat.  The skate blade has NO CONCAVE like regular skates.  In order to stop, just ride upwind to slow down and carve upwind do reduce speed.
2) If you are trying to skate with these with a flat edge, they are actually a little slippery.  This is due to the flat bottom with no concave.
These blades SHINE once on edge.

Q: Is there more than one model and size?

A: YES:
2 different models:
We’re offering a tall version and another version that’s 1 inch shorter.  (Medium tall).
The medium tall version is for those who don’t need all the leverage or high edge angles of the tall version.
The medium tall will be a little easier for learning also.
